A visit to Hochreiter´s am Markt feels like coming home. Our restaurant at Viktualienmarkt is characterized by its cosy atmosphere and architectural features. We reopened the restaurant in the heart of Munich in 2014. In our dining room, traditional wooden furniture meets a modern interior.
Our cozy sun terrace at the Viktualienmarkt invites you to watch the hustle and bustle of the market. At particularly high temperatures, a sprinkler system provides cooling.

A feast for the palate meets a feast for the eyes.
During a seven-month renovation phase, we transformed the former Löwen am Markt into a wine bar that surprises its visitors not only with its culinary delights, but also with an innovative mix of modern and traditional design elements. The regulars’ table meets at a high table made from an old workbench.
A stylistically exciting contrast and eye-catcher in the dining area is the bar counter finished in red Corain. Glasbutzer luminaires bathe Hochreiter’s am Markt in a cozy light. Another “hidden” detail can be found in the sanitary area: a shingle ceiling made of Swiss stone pine.
